The grocery stores are madhouses as everyone scrambles to prepare for their Thanksgiving feasts. Sunday lunches will soon be enjoyed with family and friends. But even as we began this week of preparation for Thanksgiving, news around the country has been clouded by the darkness of evil and hate.
How can we make a difference? Enjoy, Celebrate and be Thankful!
We can express our gratitude to God for His many blessings. There’s always something to be thankful for. We can continue to love and care for each other. We can continue to serve together. We can delight in the joy of fellowship, comfort of family and friends and laughter of those close to us. We can be present at Thanksgiving with hearts of gratitude for our family and friends. As we enjoy the wonderful tastes and aroma of our feasts, we can share our love and joy with others as it will drive out the darkness around us. We can be generous with our abundance to help those that are less fortunate. There’s always someone we can help and lift up.
May God bless you and your family, and God bless our wonderful country. I pray that you and your family have a safe, fun, joyful, healthy (and filling) Thanksgiving week.
